Studio Dress Code Requirements
At Chace Dance Company, we believe that showing up prepared is an important part of a dancer's training. Our faculty takes great pride in providing high-quality dance education, and we ask that all dancers arrive dressed appropriately for their classes. A professional appearance helps dancers feel confident, focused, and ready to learn while also creating a unified classroom environment.
Dancers who consistently arrive in proper dress code demonstrate responsibility, commitment, and respect for their training. These qualities are often considered when faculty members select recipients for special awards, scholarships, leadership opportunities, and recognition throughout the season.
Please ensure your dancer arrives to class clean, neat, and dressed according to the requirements below.
For your convenience, we have created an Amazon storefront with many of our recommended dancewear items. Please be sure to read the requirements for your dancer's specific class before making any purchases.

Additional Dress Code Policies
Jewelry & Accessories
For the safety of all dancers, jewelry should not be worn during class. This includes necklaces, bracelets, watches, large earrings, and rings. Small stud earrings are permitted.
Faculty may ask dancers to remove jewelry before participating in class if it is deemed unsafe.
Dress Code Compliance
Proper dance attire is considered an important part of a dancer's education and training at Chace Dance Company. Dancers are expected to arrive fully prepared for class, including appropriate dancewear, footwear, and hairstyles.
For Ballet and Acro classes, hair must be securely pulled back and off the neck. Ballet students are required to wear a clean, slick ballet bun. Hair requirements are considered part of the dress code.
If a dancer arrives out of dress code, the following procedure will apply:
First Occurrence: A dress code reminder will be issued to the dancer and family.
Second Occurrence: The dancer will be asked to observe class rather than participate until dress code requirements have been met.
Repeated dress code violations may result in additional restrictions at the discretion of studio management.
We appreciate the support of our studio families in helping dancers develop the responsibility, discipline, and professionalism that are essential life skills both inside and outside the dance studio.
We take our classes seriously, please dress appropriately
