I Created This Because I Was Once in the Same Place

There was a time when I spent so much of my own week planning and re-planning classes.

I wanted my youngest dancers to have fun and fall in love with ballet, but I also wanted what I was teaching to have purpose.

I wanted them learning classroom etiquette, musicality, coordination, basic ballet vocabulary, and the foundations they would eventually need as they grew.

Over the years, I began writing everything down, refining exercises, changing what wasn’t working, and building a structure that our teachers could follow.

This curriculum grew out of that process.

It includes the material we actually use in our Pre Ballet classes at Chace Dance Company and has been shaped through years of teaching young dancers and continuing to refine what works well in the classroom.

My hope is that it saves you hours of planning and gives you a strong framework that you can still make completely your own.
