🌟 Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Jade! 🌟

At our studio, we love celebrating the amazing teachers who guide and inspire our dancers every day! This month, we’re so excited to spotlight Ms. Jade, whose dance journey is filled with creativity, passion, and so much heart. 💖

🎶 A Journey in Dance

Ms. Jade first stepped into a dance studio in Orlando at just six years old—she's been moving ever since! After training through age eleven, she joined Orlando Ballet, where she deepened her ballet foundations before returning to studio training in high school to keep her technique balanced and versatile.
Her love of dance followed her into college, where she danced on a collegiate team, began choreographing, and even founded her own crew, Komodo, focused on contemporary and hip hop. They performed, competed, and created together! Last spring, Jade joined the Chace faculty, and we’ve been lucky to have her sharing her passion with our dancers ever since. ✨

💛 Influences & Teaching Philosophy

When it comes to inspiration, Jade’s heart belongs to hip hop and contemporary—styles that let her feel free and remind her why she dances. She brings that same energy into her classes, combining technique with joy, confidence, and lots of encouragement.
“I aim to teach not only technique but also how to have fun, let go, and gain confidence,” she says. And she truly lives it!

🔥 A Defining Performance

One of Jade’s standout memories is performing with Komodo at World of Dance Orlando. Their martial arts–themed set blended teamwork, storytelling, and powerful choreography. For Jade, it was a moment that showcased both the dedication and creativity she cherishes in dance. 🥋✨

🩰 Nurturing Dancers: Technique & Expression

With her strong ballet background and training across multiple styles, Jade builds solid technical foundations in her students—but she also champions personal expression.
“Dance is such a vulnerable art,” she shares. “It’s important to remember we’re dancing not for others, but for ourselves.”
She encourages dancers to grow not just in skill, but in confidence and individuality. 💫

🌱 Challenges & Growth

Like many artists, Jade has faced moments of self-doubt—wondering if she was doing enough or comparing herself to others. But instead of letting those feelings stop her, she uses them as fuel to keep learning and growing. Her resilience is part of what makes her such an inspiring teacher! 💪💕

🎨 The Creative Process

Jade’s choreography starts with reflection and visualization before she dives into movement. She always considers the dancers she’s creating for, making sure each piece highlights their strengths and helps them grow. 🌟

🥰 Favorite Teaching Moments

For Jade, the best part of teaching is watching students open up.
“I love seeing students become more open in their dancing, have fun with it, and grow more confident,” she says. Those “lightbulb moments” are her absolute favorite! 💡💖

🌍 Dance Beyond the Studio

Jade believes dance teaches lessons that reach far beyond the stage—things like discipline, collaboration, and commitment.
Her advice to young dancers:
“Surround yourself with positive people who help you grow… and be that person for others.” 🌱💕

✨ We are so grateful to have Ms. Jade in our faculty family! Her journey, creativity, and heart remind us that dance is about much more than steps—it’s about expression, courage, and community. 💜
